Realty World Selzer Realty

 | Comments Off

We have been seeing a few comments from people on Realty World purchasing Century 21..what a great move for Dick Selzer!  We will also be moving our office to the First American building on Orchard Street, another great move.  I’m personally very excited and can hardly wait.  We will have the largest company in Ukiah, serving all of Mendocino County!

Property Assessments

There are two ways a taxpayer can file for decline in property values…The first is through an informal process (county-issued form).  The taxpayer should include at least two comparable sales and a description of the com parables. The second way is to file for a Proposition 8 decline in value is the formal process of filing a verified application with the Assessment Appeals Board, the form is thru the State Board of Equalization provided by the county.  I recommend the first way it’s easier and quicker.

New Years Eve 2009

This new years I thought I would do something local… The Ukiah Main Street Program did a skate park fundraiser that was a blast!

The event was held at the Ukiah Conference Center and was transformed into a Monte Carlo Themed evening, black tie optional… which I was excited to see everyone participate in! For $160 a couple you get dinner, $100 back in gaming chips, wine at dinner, champagne toast and live countdown to midnight. Great deal!!!

I knew I would enjoy myself but not as much as I actually did! Dinner was phenomenal! Kilkenny Kitchen catered the event, yummy! There was great music to dance to, which included Ukiah’s own Top Shelf!

We had fun at the gaming tables meeting new people and trying to win raffle tickets for the awesome prizes that were available! The best part of the whole night was looking around and seeing all the different types of people! It is great to see that the community can truly gather as a whole to support such a great thing, a skate park for our kids in Ukiah!

I went home a happy person, hoping that this event will happen again next year. If so, I hope more will be willing to come support our community and stay local!

Happy New Years Friends!!

Foreclosure Homes

I have been noticing that most of the homes that have been foreclosed on have had a loan modification before the foreclosure.  I would be curious to see if anyone else is seeing this.

Green Homes

I have noticed that various listings are calling their listings green homes…I would be careful of doing this because there are rules to follow to make sure your home is green, from the paint, glue, insulation, windows, siding, floor coverings.  The best way to know if you have a green home is to have it Leed Certified.  There are several classifications for green homes in rating them, from silver, bronze, gold.
