Toxic Plastic 3-Turn Over the Bottle and Look….Most people have heard of Toxic plastic 3 it is considered by many experts as to be one of the most dangerous, carcinogenic plastic ever created by man.  It can not be RECYCLED, it will sit in our landfills forever emitting carcinogenic chemicals into the air, water and soil.  This plastic has been approved by the FDA but we still use it in packaged foods, health care products etc.  Turn over any plastic container you have and see if it has a 3 or V stamped into the plastic.  The carcinogens leach into the products they contain, resulting in your eating PVC, or lathering it into your hair, brushing your teeth and much more.  When buying your plastic items be sure to check that they don’t have a 3 or V.

Picking your neighborhood is as important as picking your new home.

1.  Look at the house several times, during the day and night.  A neighborhood can look very different at night when everyone is at home..traffic, kids in neighborhood.

2.  Neighborhood can also affect your pocket book, house prices, property taxes and don’t forget to calculate commuting cost.

3.  Talk to the neighbors they love to tell new buyers everything that is wrong with the house and the surrounding people.

4.  Life is getting busy and being close to downtown has become an important issue for people…check out the downtown on weekends and special event times, see if you can live with the traffic, noise & walking distance from the home you want to purchase.

Mortgage Rates Go Lower

 | Comments Off

Wow…rates on fixed-rate mortgages hit a new low this week, the average 30-year fixed rate is about4.42 percent with an average of 0.7 points.  One year ago rates were over 5%, rates are at a new low since 1971.  Perfect time for first time buyers to jump into the market.  FHA requires 3.5% down payment, cheaper than renting in this market!

Advantages of FHA Loan

Maybe you haven’t thought about which type of loan you will be getting..but here is something to think about.  Right now the interest rates are fabulous (in the 4′s), which you and I know that will come to and end.  Think about when interest rates go to 8 and above and you plan on moving.  Your loan (FHA) can be assumed by a qualified buyer at the 4% interest rate. You have just made your home more saleable to the next buyer…it’s something to think about if you plan on moving up or just selling within 5 plus years.
